Katie

Katie Lucas is the Director of People and Culture at Edesia, where she plays a key role in fostering a mission-driven workplace and strengthening organizational culture. Since joining the team in 2016, Katie has led Edesia’s human resources strategy with a focus on compliance, talent development, and employee engagement.

With more than 20 years of experience across human resources, finance, and benefits administration, Katie brings a holistic and people-centered perspective to her work. She oversees a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee benefits, compensation strategy, training programs, performance management, and compliance with regional and federal labor regulations.

Prior to her time at Edesia, Katie held leadership roles in both the private and nonprofit sectors—including positions at Morgan Stanley, Northeast Benefits Management, and the Newport Hotel Group—where she built and managed HR teams, benefits administration groups, and talent recruitment across the U.S. and globally.

Katie holds a B.A. in History and Secondary Education from Northern Vermont University and maintains certifications in SHRM, compensation, and employee training. Her commitment to employee well-being and organizational effectiveness continues to support Edesia’s mission to end global malnutrition.

Employee Spotlight

Andrew Kamara

Andrew Kamara is the Vice President of Global Operations at Edesia. In this role, he leads the organization’s manufacturing and operational efforts, overseeing production, quality, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management at Edesia’s Rhode Island facility. He also plays a key role in driving global expansion initiatives related to Last Mile delivery and impact.

Since joining Edesia in 2009, Andrew has held a variety of roles across the organization, contributing to its growth and operational excellence.

Before Edesia, Andrew spent two years at Coca-Cola Enterprises as a mid-level Distribution Resource, managing delivery, storage, and distribution operations for a broad portfolio of bottled beverages. He also worked for six years at United Natural Foods, serving as both a Quality Assurance Specialist and a Supervisor in grocery and repackaging operations.

Andrew holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Connecticut and an Advanced Diploma in Electronics from NIIT in Accra, Ghana.
