Nicole
Ilic

Nicole Ilic is the Director of Innovation at Edesia. Edesia, located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, is a non-profit manufacturer of ready-to-use therapeutic and supplementary foods that help treat and prevent malnutrition in the most vulnerable children around the world. Nicole has a background in clinical nutrition and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University in Nutritional Sciences, and completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. After working in clinical dietetics, she returned to academia for a Master of Science degree from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy to more fully pursue a career in international nutrition. Nicole has worked at Edesia for eleven years, managing Edesia’s Research & Development team and overseeing product and process development. Nicole currently lives in Minneapolis.

Andrew Kamara

Andrew Kamara is the Director of Logistics and Warehousing at Edesia Nutrition. In his current role, Andrew is charged with overseeing warehousing and exporting activities in collaboration with UNICEF, USAID, WFP and other small customers in adherance with US and international regulations for importing/exporting.

Prior to Edesia, Andrew spent 2 years working for Coca Cola Enterprises as a mid-level Distribution Resource overseeing deliveries, storage and distribution of a wide range of bottled soft drinks. Andrew also spent 6 years working for United Natural Foods as a Quality Assurance Specialist and a grocery/ repackaging Supervisor.

Andrew studied Political Science & International relations from the University of Connecticut and has an Advance Diploma in Electronics from NIIT Accra, Ghana.
